One word to describe this this place is omg amazing delicious . Their mozzarella is so fresh they are not lying about that they get the 5 piece star review from me. Service is amazing I truly love this neighborhood great ambiance aside from great cheese
This is authentic Italian! The mozzarella cheese is so fresh that it melts in your mouth. My Italian husband said it is the best sandwich he has ever had. The staff is friendly and the portions are huge!!! Street parking is by meter only but we found a spot just down the street easily.
Absolutely love this Artur avenue institution. Besides the ferocious burrata and mozzarella they have a great selection of hard and soft cheeses, olives, and sopressatas. Great prices and friendly counter service.
THE BEST...No words just THE BEST Oracio the owner and the workers are AMAZING...almost all the stuff there are imported.
Holy. Hell. I'm sitting in my car trying to get my mind around what I just ate. It's just mozzarella cheese, something that I grew up with my entire life?? Add Sun dried peppers. Prosciutto. Balsamic vinegar. There is no magical combination, every ingredient has been on my table for decades. I walk in before noon. The deli is small but what they're offering is huge, cheeses, meats and sandwiches. I walk to the back and ordered "The Burrata" on freshly made Ciabatta bread. Simple right? I grab a Manhattan Soda as well and head out the door. If you think you're going to sit, use the WiFi and lounge all day, guess again. This spot is small, order and GTFO. I grab my sammy in a very nice Casa Della Mozzarella Italian Deli bag and head back to my car. I open the wrapping and take a bite. The Sun Dried Peppers are mixing with the Burrata and its creating an Italian sandwich worthy of representing The Bronx. The mozzarella was creamy and oh so dreamy. Pure Perfection. Boogie. Boogie down baby..
Found this place on Yelp. Was looking for a good sandwich for lunch. This place seemed very old school. I was a bit intimidated because I've never been here and most people walk in knowing what they want. The menu is small but I'm not picky so I was here to try one of the more popular sandwiches. I ordered the casa on a hero. Was a bit disappointed that the only bread options were ciabatta (not my favorite) or hero. I ate about half of the sandwich and was full and satisfied. The mozzarella is truly delicious and the sun-dried peppers were extremely flavorful. The service was great and the people who worked here were polite and friendly.
Pretty dope sandwiches, cheeses, deli meats galore. Line is insane on a holiday so come early (fine on week days or other times).
An Italian grocery store and deli with lots of authentic ingredients. The service was great. We got the burrata sandwich which was great because they packed it with great stuff. The bread was a little tough and hard to eat. One sandwich is honestly enough for 2, you get tired of the taste quickly. The sun dried peppers were a little overpowering so there could've been fewer in the sandwich. Overall, great high quality ingredients but not as amazing it was hyped up to be.
This is the place! Expect a line on / near holidays. Expect a fire truck to pull up while you're waiting )food for the guys - let them go the front of you). Bring your smile and your patience - it's worth it. Go with a friend - one person online the other runs one block to the bakery to get a little nibble and a coffee for you both. Make the wait fun. Now once it's your turn, try to order efficiently. They move fast. Know what you want. You can do it. This place had the best mozzarella, burrata, boccochini, and many other cheeses. I always get: boccochini (order by the number), truffle cheese, and Parmesan. Then get a hot and a sweet soprasada - sliced. And olives, marinated artichokes, marinated mushrooms, roasted peppers, and spicy stuffed peppers, .... Now head over the Madonna Bakery.
I wonder if, in the history of the world, this much deliciousness has ever been packed into such a narrow space. This joint has everything you'd ever want from an Italian specialty shop. It's one of Arthur Ave's finest, and they've got all the sausages, cured meats, cheeses, vinegars, artichokes, pasta, grains, and more. And they've got a lineup of guys behind the counter who want to give you all the tasty treats. Don't you dare leave without at least two things: 1. The best mozzarella you can find on this side of the Atlantic (what I was told, and I'm in no place to argue). 2. Sun-dried peppers. I don't know why sun-dried tomatoes have become a staple everywhere, when sun-dried peppers are the FUCKING TRUTH. They are good on all the things (including the Johnny Handsome sandwich). Speaking of, this is also an excellent stop for sandwiches to bring to the Bronx Zoo, if you've blinked and suddenly entertaining children is more important than eating all the good food. (This is not my beautiful house. This is not my beautiful wife. How did I get here?) But with Casa Della Mozzarella, you can do both.
